ART BROWN
Washington, DC
Art is a Washington, DC-born self-taught oil painter. His inspiration stems from his name and from seeing real-life works from portrait artists Kehinde Wiley and Tim Okamura. He uses landscapes, portraiture, and saturated colors to convey childhood nostalgia and a comforting representation of nature's power. His work provides different clues relating to his perspective of how life revolves around love. Art's goal is to not only be the face of visual arts, but also to reach out to young children and youth from any background or culture and give them inspiration, genuine attention, and emotional understanding so that they look forward to each new day and can value self-expression and artistic practices.
