Substantial Art & Music, LLC (SAM) is a multimedia organization focused on providing consulting services to the art and music community. SAM was founded in 2017, by husband and wife duo, Stan “Substantial” Robinson and Rachelle Etienne-Robinson. Together they provide design and consulting services to emerging and established independent artists, entrepreneurs and organizations. SAM provides professional advice and guidance through consultations, workshops, webinars as well as provide additional services like graphic/web design. SAM has facilitated workshops at Amazon headquarters in Seattle, Washington, the Hawaii State Art Museum, Pratt Institute, and Otakon. In addition, Stan and Rachelle produce and host a biweekly podcast called ARTdustry: where art meets industry. SAM has produced special events that have been featured in several media outlets like, WTOP, Washington Informer, and Fox 5 DC. In 2020, SAM was named Carib Biz Network Top 50 Influential Caribbean American Entrepreneurs & Freelancers.

Miss Kiane

Poet, Author, Coach

Miss Kiane is an author, performer, facilitator, coach and entrepreneur, Miss Kiane loves all things artsy. She has been known to write, direct, and perform in theatrical productions, sing alto with several musical groups, and facilitate dynamic, hands on workshops for academic and corporate settings. But her first love is poetry. Miss Kiane has shared her poetry in several venues including Busboys and Poets, Mayorga Coffee House, Storytellers, Organic Soul and the Synergy Center. As a published poet, she was honored as the Poetry Society’s Who’s Who in Poetry. Miss Kiane is currently the Administrator for a Facebook Group called Poets, Writers and Creatives. In addition, she enjoys hosting open mic nights at DC’s newest Busboys and Poets in Anacostia every third Tuesday night (pre-pandemic).

Serena Wills

Author, Poet, Wellness Coach

Serena Wills is a native New Yorker and currently resides in the Washington, DC area. She holds a BA in Policy Studies from Syracuse University, an MPA from Virginia Tech, an MA in Health and Wellness Coaching and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Workplace Wellness from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She’s a self-published author, health and wellness writer and a poet. Serena is also a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) through the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches and is the owner of Divine Wryte Wellness (a health and wellness coaching practice). Serena has three poetry books, “The Awakening, Pieces of Life Volume 2” released December 2019, “Crying Tears of Teal” released in fall of 2017 and her first poetry book titled, “Reconstruction, Pieces of Life, Volume 1” which was released in 2014 and is in several anthologies. She’s also a health and wellness writer for blogs and other online and print publications. She designs and facilitates workshops on the self-publishing process and also on health and wellness topics, but with a creative twist that integrates poetry and creative writing. She also works one on one or with small groups as a publishing coach.

Kim B. Miller

Poet, Author, Teacher

Kim B Miller is inspirational, her words are bold and she is unapologetically blunt. Kim uses her words to connect people to their strength. She makes empowerment touchable so you can obtain it. She shows you how to identify your negative internal dialogue and replace it with champion lyrics. She’s a speaker that cultivates growth and a poet who speaks truth.

Kim is the Poet Laureate for Prince William County, Virginia. She is the First African American Poet Laureate for PWC.

Her poems were published in African Voices magazine, a Portuguese haiku anthology, a DC newspaper, an interfaith anthology, a hunger anthology and several websites and books. Her latest powerful poetry book is called: My Poetry is The Beauty You Overlook. Kim is the 2019 Southern Fried Haiku Champion. Southern Fried Poetry Slam is one of the largest Spoken Word and Performance Poetry tournaments in the world. Kim is a facilitator. She creates and develops her own training material. Her interactive workshops are fun and informative. She currently facilitates parenting classes for Prince William County and she is a substitute teacher. She also facilitates other classes.
