Creative Suitland Art Center’s ROOTED is a holistic wellness experience with a creative marketplace, community resources, health screenings, and wellness workshops. Our mission is to boost the local creative economy by providing a space for a marketplace and improving the lives of the greater Suitland community.
The THRIVE Market will feature local BIPOC artisan vendors ranging from handmade arts and crafts, wellness products, food trucks, art activities, and specialty clothing. We aim to introduce wellness and promote local wellness businesses to the Suitland community in a fun, relaxing, and safe space.
In addition to the marketplace, ROOTED will offer a wide range of free wellness experiences and community resources, including:
Yoga and Sound Bath Healing with Natural Feels Awareness
Free acupuncture with Acupuncturists Without Borders
Free eye exams from America’s Best
Open Studio Art Therapy with Arts on a Roll
Postural assessments with Dr. Kenya White of KTW Chiro Wellness
A gardening workshop led by Chef Rayven
Community resources and wellness-based vendors
