About this Event

June 8 - Positioning Pt. 1: How to Win with Commissions/Freelance Work

Coming from an art community, I've heard my fair share of crappy client stories. And I've also seen how artists price their work versus the endless flow of money that seems to exist in the freelance writing and design communities. There are ways to making a sustainable, livable income as a creative if you're interested in freelancing/doing commissions--and it starts with positioning yourself better in the eyes of your prospects and eventual clients.

June 22 - Positioning Pt. 2: Why You Need a Damn Website

Many creatives have success with social media and garner attention via these platforms. But what happens when you're banned? Or you make content that goes against Community Guidelines? What can you lean on if your account gets deleted? Your website goes beyond being a portfolio or product store of your work. You'll learn why this is an essential asset in positioning yourself to earn a sustainable living and how you can use your website to get better clients.
