ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Scheera is a heartfelt, spiritual being, yoga and meditation teacher. Born and raised in the District of Columbia, Scheera started her journey with meditation and yoga several years ago while attending Wilson Senior High School. It wasn’t until several months after Scheera had her beautiful daughter Robbie where she figured out that she needed to be balanced within herself, so yoga reopened the doors for her. However, it wasn’t until the passing of her father in December of 2017 and an atrocious heartbreak that allowed her to reflect, accept her childhood traumas, and start her journey of self-healing.

She fully committed herself to the journey of self-care and self-love in January 2018. It was at Love Yoga Studio located in Hyattsville, Maryland, where she completed her 200 Hour Yoga teacher training in November 2018. This journey has changed her life dramatically.

Scheera revolves around the importance of self-care, self-love and how embracing this journey can being so much positivity into your life. Scheera is always on the path to increase her spiritual knowledge. She received her Reiki Level 1 certification in August 2019 at Shabach Yoga Studio located in Waldorf, MD. In January she will continue on to the next step by receiving her certifications in Meditation, Sound Healing and Level 2 Reiki at Spiritual Essence Yoga Studio located in Upper Marlboro, MD. Upon the completion of her bachelor’s degree at University of Maryland College Park, she will enroll in the Healing Pathways Yoga program.

Scheera’s style of teaching is either a High-Low Hatha Flow or a Restorative Flow. She enjoys a good fast pace class but also loves a good slow flow that’s engaging with the breath. The energy she brings to each class is very kind, supportive, personable, passionate, and affectionate. She conducts each class with a very intimate energy.
