Creative Development Workshop: Building Your Brand


ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This is an interactive workshop where artists and small business leaders can learn strategies on creating, developing and expanding their brands. We will also cover tips to experience growth and sustainability.

Your brand speaks for you when you are not present. Make sure you are delivering the right powerful message.

When: Thursday, February 24 7PM EST

ABOUT KIM B. MILLER

Kim B Miller’s poetry is inspirational, her words are bold and she is unapologetically blunt. Kim has performed nationally in person and internationally online.

Kim is the Poet Laureate for Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park, Virginia: Oct. 2020- Oct. 2022. She’s the First African American Poet Laureate for this region.

Kim is Haiku/ “Haikuist” of the year. She won at the 2021 DMV Renaissance Awards. 

Kim won 4th place in the 90th Annual Writer’s Digest Contest, in the non-rhyming poetry category in 2021. There were over 3000 entries in all 9 categories.

Kim is the 2019 Southern Fried Haiku Champion. Southern Fried Poetry Slam is one of the largest Spoken Word and Performance Poetry tournaments in the world. 

Her poems have been published in African Voices magazine, a Portuguese haiku anthology, a DC newspaper, an interfaith anthology, a hunger anthology and several websites and books.

Her latest powerful poetry book is called: My Poetry is The Beauty You Overlook.

Kim’s a motivational speaker that cultivates growth. She uses her words to connect people to their strength. She was one of the commencement speakers for Bard High School Early College DC.

Kim is a facilitator. She creates and develops her own training material. Her interactive workshops are fun and informative. She recently facilitated a workshop for University of California, Berkeley. She also has been the teaching artist for DC Scores and DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
